What technical electronic diagnosis is
Technical diagnosis is the first step before any repair. It consists of a systematic inspection of the device to identify the root cause of the fault, the affected components and the scope of the repair required. At FixBA, diagnosis always comes before the quote.
What we inspect during diagnosis
The process includes multiple inspection stages:
- ✓Visual inspection of the board or device: burns, bursts, corrosion, moisture.
- ✓Voltage and continuity measurements at key points in the circuit.
- ✓Identification of damaged components: MOSFETs, capacitors, fuses, inductors, ICs.
- ✓Verification of transformer or power supply condition.
- ✓Controlled power-on test with an external supply when necessary.
- ✓Comparison with technical documentation if available.
What information you receive on completion
When diagnosis is complete, we inform you via WhatsApp or email:
- ✓Detected fault cause.
- ✓Components that need to be replaced.
- ✓Whether repair is technically viable.
- ✓Estimated repair cost.
- ✓Estimated work time.
How long it takes
Basic diagnosis takes between 24 and 72 business hours from the moment we receive the equipment. Devices with complex faults or multiple affected components may take longer. In that case we notify you and explain the reason for the additional time.
How to drop off or send equipment
You can coordinate equipment intake via WhatsApp. We work with private courier shipments (OCA, Andreani) and also accept equipment in person in CABA. For shipments, we will advise you on correct packaging to avoid damage in transit.
